PLG Continuous Disc Dryer
Product overview
The Continuous Disc Dryer continuously feeds material onto the top tray, where it is agitated by rotating rake arms with plough blades. The drying trays alternate between large and small sizes, enabling the material to flow outward on small trays and inward to the central discharge ports.

Heating media such as saturated steam, hot water, or thermal oil circulate through the trays, efficiently transferring heat to the material and evaporating moisture. The Continuous Disc Dryer discharges dried material from the bottom tray for direct packaging, while moisture is vented through top ports or extracted by vacuum pumps in vacuum models.

Optional accessories like finned heaters, solvent recovery condensers, bag filters, and induced draft fans further enhance the Continuous Disc Dryer's capability to handle paste-like and heat-sensitive materials, recover solvents, and support thermal decomposition or reaction operations.

1. Heat Conduction:
   Heating media such as saturated steam, hot water, or thermal oil circulate through hollow trays in the dryer. These media enter from one end of the trays and exit from the opposite end, transferring heat efficiently.
   The wet material on the trays is exposed to these heated surfaces, causing moisture to evaporate and the material to dry.
2. Mechanical Agitation:
   The material is continuously agitated by rotating rake arms equipped with plough blades.
   The rake arms ensure the material moves along a logarithmic spiral path, passing across alternating small and large trays.
   The material flows outward on small trays, drops onto the larger trays below, then moves inward to the central discharge ports.
3. Moisture Evacuation:
   The vaporized moisture is vented through top ports in the system.   
   In vacuum models, moisture vapor is extracted using vacuum pumps to enhance drying efficiency, especially for heat-sensitive materials.
