Description of TPXLP Closed-loop Circulation Spray Dryer 

 

The system operates in a sealed environment with an inert gas (typically N2) as the drying medium. It is suitable for drying materials containing organic solvents, toxic gases, or materials prone to oxidation during the drying process. The system utilizes inert gas as the circulating medium to protect the dried material. The circulating gas undergoes a process of moisture loading and dehumidification, and the medium can be reused. Nitrogen is heated in a heater before entering the drying tower, while liquid materials are pumped through a screw pump to the centrifugal nozzle, where the liquid is atomized into droplets by high-speed circulation. In the drying tower, heat and mass transfer occurs, and the dried powder is discharged from the tower's base. The evaporated organic solvent gas is then drawn out under negative pressure by the fan, and the dust particles within the gas are separated by a cyclone separator and an air scrubber. The saturated organic solvent gas is then condensed back into liquid form in the condenser and discharged. Non-condensable gases are continuously heated and reused as the drying medium within the system.

 

Advantages of spray dryers

 In contrast to conventional centrifugal spray dryers, which rely on continuous intake and exhaust air to remove moisture, this closed-loop centrifugal spray dryer operates differently. The drying medium inside the system is N2, and the system operates under positive pressure. A constant positive pressure is maintained, and if the internal pressure drops, the pressure transmitter automatically adjusts the N2 input to ensure pressure balance within the system. This is a key distinction between this closed-type centrifugal spray dryer and traditional centrifugal spray drying equipment. It is suitable for drying processes that require protection from oxidation and for materials where high powder consistency is required after drying, such as powders in industries like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, and lithium battery materials
